General Biblical Studies
(This is a list of some of the courses offered in this field of studies)

PS        You and Your Bible
This is an introduction presentation of the inspiration and authorship of the Bible. This course
will cover: how it was preserved, why we believe it, how we deal with its problems and critics,
and the role of archeology to the Bible

PS        Effective Bible Study
This is an in-depth examination of how to effectively study the Bible. This course deals with
the various and most effective way to study the Bible. It also touches on how to out line your
lessons.

PS        Manners and Customs of the Bible (Anthropology)
This is a study of the manners and customs of the Old and New Testament with an emphasis
on how their proper understanding will illuminate the Scriptures.

PS        Pentateuch
This is an over view of the writings of Moses. It involves a survey of the first five books of the
Bible and the relationship of God to His chosen people and the typology of the church.

PS        Minor Prophets
This is a study of the minor prophet’s writings and their importance in God’s program of
prophecy. In each book there will be a three-fold theme: Historical, Prophetical, and Practical.



PS        Major Prophets
This is a study of the five Books of the Bible that are called major because of the length of
their writings. This will be an overview of these five books and there impact on godly living,
the rejection of God’s ways and the deliverance of those that turn to God.

PS        Ministerial Ethics
This is a study of the proper ethics with in the minister and the ministry. It will deal with the
how and the why of the operation of a church ministry.

Old Testament Studies
(This is list of some of the courses offered in this field of studies)


BI        The Law/History
This is a study of the books of Genesis through Esther giving an overview of God’s working
among men from creation through the early days of His chosen people.

BI        Poetry / Prophecies
This is a study of the form and content of Hebrew poetry with its background in ancient Eastern
literature. The Hebrew prophets are examined with emphasis on their purpose, message, and
application for today.

BI        101  Genesis
This is an intensive study and historical look at the text concerning the chronological events
of the creation, the fall of mankind, the flood and the lives of the patriarchs.

BI        102  Exodus
This is a study made from the new king in Egypt and his cruelty toward the Israelites to the
miraculous events during the days of their wilderness wanderings and beyond. Emphasis is
placed on God’s faithfulness in spite of the people’s rebellion.

BI        103  Leviticus
This is a study of the sacrificial system God established for His people. It is designed to orient
the student with the twofold theme of this book: atonement and holiness.

BI        104  Numbers
This is a course that looks into the ceremonial regulations given to the Israelites: the
observance of the first Passover, the design of their encampment, and the duties of the priests.

BI        105  Deuteronomy
This course seeks to give the student an understanding of God’s covenant with the people:
from Moses role as a leader and servant of God. This study will also look at the act of
disobedience, exclusion from the promise land, eventual successor and death of Moses.


BI        106  Joshua
This is an in-depth study in the conquest and settlement of the land of Canaan. This course
illustrates the faithfulness of God to His promise and the victorious life of obedience to Him.

BI        107  Judges
This is an intensive study of the seven periods of sin, servitude, supplication, and salvation. It
is designed to familiarize the student with the theme that disobedience leads to defeat and
judgment.


BI        108  Ruth
This is a beautiful study in the sanctity of the home and the evident devotion of God through
much adversity and overwhelming circumstances. The student will discover how a Moabite
woman is woven in the scarlet thread of redemption by the providence of God.

BI        109  I Samuel
This is designed to enhance the student’s knowledge of the period of time from Samuel’s birth
to the last days of Saul’s reign. An emphasis is placed on the desire of Israel to have a king
rule over them and the responsibility of the king to Almighty God.

BI        110  II Samuel
This is a study of the reign of David and the eventual uniting of the kingdoms of Judah and
Israel. The course provides a look into the political and domestic problems of David’s reign as
well as the establishment of a temple site at Jerusalem.

BI        111  I Kings
This is an in-depth study from the final days of David’s life through the reign of his son
Solomon. It will also cover the worship of Baal in Israel, the events in the life of the prophet
Elijah, and into the reign of the evil king Ahaziah.

BI        112  II Kings
This study is designed to present the student with a thorough concept of the history of the
kingdom and the work of the prophets in relation to the monarchs of that era. Emphasis will be
placed on the succession of Elisha to the prophetic role of Elijah, and contrast of evil versus
good in the lives of Israel’s kings.

BI        115  Ezra
This course is designed to give the students an understanding of God’s deliverance of His
People. There is a focus upon the early return of exiled Jewish people, the rebuilding of the
temple, the reestablishing of the sacrificial system and the call for religious purity.

BI        116  Nehemiah
This is a study showing the efforts of Nehemiah in rebuilding the walls of the city of Jerusalem,
the purification of the people from heathen practices and the restoration of regular worship
services.

BI        117  Esther
This course offers the student a unique insight into God’s infinite wisdom, continuing
providence, and overwhelming power in the preservation of His people.

BI         118  Job
This course emphasizes on the unrivaled truth that God is worthy of absolute total love and
commitment from His children and all mankind. This course also reveals that God has a
purpose for all suffering in the lives of the saved and unsaved alike.

BI        119  Psalms
This is a study made of selected psalms. The emphasis is placed on the value of the psalms to
a student’s personal devotion time as well as the themes within each passage.

BI        120  Proverbs
This course is designed to introduce the student to God’s outpouring of His wisdom as a guide
for practical everyday living and instructions concerning duty to God, family, self, and others.

BI        121  Ecclesiastes
This course takes a look into the futility of seeking happiness through wealth, knowledge and
possessions. It is an in-depth study of life as an opportunity to prepare for eternity by the
redeeming work of God alone.

BI        122  Song of Solomon
This is an intensive study of this unique literary masterpiece, which is full of figures of speech
and descriptive typology.  In this course the student learns that even the most intimate love of
human affections is according to God’s divine plan.

BI        123  Isaiah
This is a comprehensive study of the most quoted and respect of the Old Testament prophets.
The student will study the messianic predictions that are found in Isaiah.

BI        124  Jeremiah
This course is designed to introduce the student to the recorded sermons, discourse, and
prophetic utterances of the prophet. The purpose of this study is to reveal the authority and
reliability of the prophetic word given by God’s prophets.

BI         125  Lamentations
The primary emphasis of this study is to give the student the fullest understanding of the
themes of hope and deliverance, the sovereignty of God, His mercy and certainty of His
judgment.        

BI        126  Ezekiel
This course provides the student with an opportunity to develop an understanding of the
person of God, prophetic visions, prophetic message and symbolism of the book.

BI        127  Daniel
This course is designed to give the student a better knowledge of this prophetic book. There
will be an emphasis placed on the historical and eschatological themes.

BI        128  Hosea
The primary purpose of this course is to give the student an overview of the prophet’s mission
and typology used to portray God’s covenant love in light of Israel’s unfaithfulness.

BI        129  Joel
This study focuses on the prophet’s message to the people of his day as well as the coming
events in the New Testament.





New Testament Studies

BI        New Testament Survey
A study that brings unity and chronological sequence by weaving the contents of the New
Testament books around a central theme, which is the person of Christ.

BI         The Life of Christ
This is a chronological study of the life of Christ from the parallel accounts of the four
Gospels. The life and ministry of Jesus are divided into generally accepted periods.

BI         Pastoral Epistles
The student will explore the message and the setting of the Pastoral Epistles of Paul.

BI        Life and Teaching of Paul
This is a study of the major aspects of Paul’s life and times as ell as his teachings.

BI        140  Matthew
This is a study from the birth of Christ to the greatest sermon ever preached and the
significance of the parables to the great commission by our Lord.

BI        141  Mark
This study is designed as an intensive study of the book many scholars believe to be the
earliest of the New Testament writings.

BI        142  Luke
The purpose of this course is to give the student valuable insight into the gospel account of
the only Gentile writer in the New Testament.

BI        143  John
This is an in-depth study of the evangelistic ministry of the apostle and his walk with our Lord.
There is a major focus on the seven “signs” and the seven “I Am’s” of this book.

BI        144  Acts
This course is a gateway to the student understanding of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit
upon the church. Emphasis will be place on the miracle of the Spirit’s works in the life of
believers, the conversion of Paul, and the extensions of the church by the means of his
missionary journeys.

BI        145  Romans
This is a study of the gospel message presented in the simplest and most profound terms.
There will be a major emphasis on the recipients of this book, the purpose of the author, and
the consequence of sin versus the victory of the believer’s life.

BI        146  I Corinthians
This course is designed to help the student to understand the history of the church in the first
century. Attention will be given to issues in the local church, spiritual gifts and the doctrine of
the resurrection.

BI        147  II Corinthians
This course is designed to orient the student to the content and the theme of the book. The
student will be studying the writer’s defense of his relationship with the Corinthian church, their
failure in benevolence, and the credibility of the apostle in Christ.

BI        148  Galatians
This study is an in-depth look at the defense of the apostle’s authority, justification by faith,
and Christian liberty.

BI        149  Ephesians
This is an intensive study of the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church at Ephesus with an
emphasis on the theme and the doctrine of oneness in Christ.

BI        150  Philippians
This is an exegesis of the central theme of the book as well as the historical setting. This study
looks at the purpose of the letter to the church and the practical applications for today.

BI        151  Colossians
This is a course that reveals an exhortation by the writer to the reader, conveying a need to
Christian maturity and the virtues of a life in Christ verses the heresy of Gnosticism.

BI        152  I Thessalonians
This is a study into the history of the book and the Christians need for preparedness, the rapture
and to Holy living.

BI        153  II Thessalonians
This course is designed to help the student understand the need for sound doctrine, the
mystery of lawlessness and the need for church discipline.

BI        154  I Timothy
This is a study to equip the student with a thorough knowledge of this pastoral epistle with
emphasis given to the function, discipline, and doctrine of the church.

BI        155  II Timothy
This course will orient the student to the apostle’s challenge to remain steadfast, having
courage, and being a good servant for Christ.

BI        156  Titus
The overall purpose of this study is to acquaint the student with conduct, organization, and
order in the church.

BI        157  Philemon
This is a look at the relationship between fellow Christians with attention given to the criticism
of the issue of slavery.

BI        158  Hebrews
This is an extensive look into the superiority of the person of Christ, the priesthood of Jesus,
and the life of faith and service for Christ.

Ministries Studies

MS        Hermeneutics I
This is an introductory study of the basic principles and guidelines for a sound interpretation of
Scripture and includes a survey of the history of interpretation.

MS        Hermeneutics II
This is an in-depth study of the definition and application of Hermeneutic Principles with an
emphasis on context, scope, and plan, comparison of parallel passages, and progress of
passages.

MS        Hermeneutics III
This is a continuation of the history of biblical interpretation on ancient Jewish and later
Rabbinical exegesis, early Christian exegesis, and exegesis from the Reformation to the
nineteenth century.

MS        Sermon Preparation I
This course defines the different types of sermons and teaches how to outline and prepare
sermons for each type.

MS         Homiletics I
A study of preaching – Who? What? How.

MS         Homiletics II
A study of preaching – Who? What? How, continued.

MS         Missions  440
This is an introductory presentation of Old and New Testament Missions.  This course will help
to develop an understanding of the motives and aims of Missions as emphasized by the Bible

MS        Missions  441
This course is a continuation of Missions I.  It will develop the person of the Missionary, in the
eyes of the Church, as well as helping to illustrate what tasks and activities will be required of
the Missionary himself.

MS         Soul-winning/outreach  442
This course will help to develop principles and precepts for winning the lost (Prov. 11:30 The
fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.) The Importance of
practicing the Great Commission. Scripture memory for Sowing the Seed, For Seeking the
Sinner, and Showing the Saviour.  “Drawing the Net” Text Book will be used in this class.





Doctrine & Theology Studies

DT        100 Doctrinal Survey
This is an introduction to the basic Biblical doctrines of the Bible. The survey divides the
Bible into twelve (12) major doctrines.

DT        101 Doctrine I
This course is of the Triune God: God the Father , God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit

DT        102 Doctrine II
This is a course to simplify doctrinal concepts and presents them in an understandable form as
they are set forth in the Scriptures. It will compass the meaning and purpose of anthropology,
soteriology, hamartiology, ecclesiology, and angelology.

DT        104  Spiritual Warfare I
This is any introduction into the spiritual warfare that started with the fall of man in the garden.
It is designed to give the student insight to the spiritual laws and the consequence of mans
action in the garden.

DT        105 Spiritual Warfare II
This course is designed to continue from the fall into the daily battles and conflicts that we
have with a real and personal enemy, Satan. This study will also cover how to overcome
through the victory in Christ.


DT        106 Spiritual Warfare III
This is a continuation of Spiritual Warfare II. It is designed to expose the enemy’s tactics and
his defeat at Calvary as well as the implications for the Christian and our ultimate victory.

DT        Apologetics
This is a study to equip the student’s with the scriptural knowledge to skillfully defend the faith
giving them a foundation to understand why we believe what we believe.

DT        Biblical Beliefs
This course presents foundational Biblical doctrines that cover the creation and the fall of
man, faith and regeneration, justification and adoption,

GE        English 101
This course is an overview of the basics of English that covers the parts of speech, sentence
structure, and word division.

GE        English 102
This study involves more structured studies into the proper writing format of papers and a
closer more in-depth look at the basics of proper English.

This course is design to give the student an understanding of the start of civilization  through
to the rise and fall of the children of Israel.

GE        World History II  104
This is a continuation of the study from the times of the Kings of Israel to the beginning of the
church age.

This is a study of the history of the Church from Its beginning to the year A.D.590.

This is a continuation of Church history from A.D. 590 - 1517

CE        Understanding Teaching
This is an introduction for the teacher and prepares the student desiring to serve in the church
and Christian school education program.


CE        Teaching Techniques
This course is designed to help the teacher understand the various ways of communicating
their lesson in a way that challenges them as well as their students.


CE        Classroom Management
This is a study on how to maintain order and discipline with in a classroom setting. It will deal
with the challenges of a troubled child as well as the advanced student and how to make your
class more effective for the student to learn.


Psychology & Counseling Studies

PY        Counseling 101
This is an introduction into the basic fundamentals of Biblical Counseling and the proper
understanding of what counseling is and how God can use us to minister to others.

PY        Counseling 102
This is a continuation of Counseling 101and is more in-depth to the social aspects and the sin
nature that causes many behavioral problems and how to help those with these problems.

PY        Understanding People
This study is designed to give the student insight into people’s personalities, experiences,
interests, and needs. This course examines the basic elements of personality, physical,
intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development for each major age division.

PY        Basic Life Principles
This is a study on how to apply the seven Biblical principles to resolve basic conflicts and
discover purposes in life. The Student will learn lasting solutions rather than temporary reliefs,
overcoming feelings of inferiority, conquering bitterness and anger, and establishing marriage
harmony.

PY        Behavioral Problems
This course is an over view of the many problems facing counselors today from eating
disorders, disruptive children, to the victims of abuse.
